Potomac Divsion Board Meeting

The Paymaster presented a report that showed no changes in the checking account balance since the last report.
Webmaster:
Reported that the Division Contact List, used for sending out
information to members by email, was being converted to an Excel
spreadsheet.
Layout Tours: Tours are set through May 2012.
AP Program needs to be updated.
Andrew,
Clerk, will draft an introductory letter that will be sent to Charles
Flichman with a request to set forth in more simplified wording how the
AP paperwork can be completed and exactly what the modelers should
include for the reviewing judges.
White Flag Extra Clinics: Improve communications for scheduling times for layout tours.
Andrew,
Clerk, will draft a proposal concerning the possible implementation of
conducting seminars for a small, flexible number of modelers at the
venue of the host, which would be conducted at the end of the open
house.
The 2012 Minicon will be held on March 31,2012, at South Columbia Baptist Church, Columbia, MD (Rt 29 & Rt. 32)

Discussed
scheduling, site location, hotels/motels, Sites included Howard
Co., Montgomery Co., Burtonsville, Laurel, and Silver Spring.
Bill Day proposed to ask other modelers, groups, and clubs for information that could be
included in the “Flyer.”
New Business:
Mike to look into the feasibility and methods of conducting model railroading informational sessions for adult groups .
